Sound is the New Light

Everyone always worries about the lighting in a space. As one should because it sets the vibe for the room and the type of lighting you use says a lot about you. Will you be using the “big light” in a room or accent lighting? Now, sound is the new light. Gone are the days of blasting music on your stereo speakers or shall we dare to say, your boom box. Enter the X-CT TurnTable by Slash Objects, an award-winning design studio in New York and Paris founded by Arielle Assouline-Lichten. The polished stainless steel sculptural entity is a seamlessly integrated turntable, vinyl storage and album display masterfully designed into a single reflective coffee table. The aesthetic is mellifluous, encompassing all of a true music player’s desires in one hell of a masterpiece.

The turntable is reccessed and sits flush with the steel tabletop, while a slot in the design showcases the record currently playing. Integral storage for your vinyls lies within the table's legs allowing you to keep your favorites on display and within an arms reach. Kind of Blue by Miles Davis, Rumours by Fleetwood Mac or maybe Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter is more your speed? Whatever your vibe, the X-CT Turnable can oblige. The table is available with a Technics SL-1200 turntable or can be configured to accommodate your own.
